The problems of creating a barrier-free environment in public transport for people with disabilities

      Ayrat Usmanov said that conducted survey of the state of the road network , pavements , stopping areas, pedestrian crossings in the central streets of cities and regional centers have shown that they meet the standards and are available for people with limited mobility . Traffic safety signs installed "Speed ​​limit", "Caution Children", "Stop the line." The most acute problem of availability of transportation services for the disabled is limited adapted for the carriage of persons with limited mobility of the rolling stock of public transport. There is also a problem of access to information for people with disabilities in urban transport.
      Currently in Kazan live about 90,000 people with disabilities. And to create a barrier-free environment for people with disabilities implemented the " accessible environment."
      The meeting agreed that, within two weeks societies disabled republic consider the proposed activities to create a barrier-free environment and to comment on their further implementation.
