Deputies of the Russian Federation State Duma Visited Facilities of TATNEFT in Nizhnekamsk

      Farid Mukhametshin, Chairman of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan, and State Duma Deputies of the Russian Federation Federal Assembly representing the Republic of Tatarstan visited the facilities of JSC TATNEFT in Nizhnekamsk (Tatarstan). 

     In the framework of the event the delegation got acquainted with the activities of "TANECO". During the inspection of this strategic facility of JSC TATNEFT the participants were accompanied by Nail Maganov, Director General of JSC TATNEFT, and Leonid Alekhin, General Director of JSC "TANECO".

      A visit to the Oil Refining and Petrochemical Plants Complex began with a tour of CDU/VDU-7, which is the crude oil primary processing installation, providing for possibility of processing carbon oil, devonian oil or mixtures thereof in any ratio, and the use of a three-stage, four-flow desalting and dehydration system (commonly applied is a two stage system). The facility produces wide fraction of light hydrocarbons, straight-run gasoline, heating domestic oil, furnace fuel oil, vacuum gas oil and hydrocarbon gas to the fuel system.

      One of the items of the visiting program to "TANECO" was the installation of sulfur production, designed to clean up and dispose of all the hydrogen sulfide gases of the Refining and Petrochemical Plants Complex and yielding the desired product: liquid and granulated sulfur.

     The event participants also visited the central control room providing for automated round the clock management and control of process parameters at the refinery.

      The hosts demonstrated to the MPs the combined hydrocracking installation (CHI), which is currently under active commissioning activities. Up to 2.9 million tons of vacuum gas oil will be processed at CHI.The installation will allow increasing the yield of light oil products and starting the production of European level motor fuels.

      The visit program also included a visit to Nizhnekamsk tire manufacturing complex of TATNEFT. The deputies acquainted with the exposition display, which included new tire products of KAMA, KAMA EURO and Viatti brands.

     At the Nizhnekamsk SSC Tire Factory the event participants were demonstrated all the manufacturing stages of solid steel cord Kama tires: from the preparation of rubber compounds, manufacturing of the future tire parts and components to the assembly and curing. All the manufacturing processes at the factory are automated, which maximally eliminates the human factor in the production process. The participants of the visiting meeting learned about the system of output products quality control carried out in three stages including X-ray control of the tires manufactured. The whole complex of the internal control measures allows providing supply of the market with reliable and proven products.

     SSC tires manufactured in Nizhnekamsk are as good in quality as global brands. The rubber compounding technology for production of SSC tires involves a high content of natural rubber, silica and other safe ecological materials. The advantages of SSC KAMA tires include fuel economy, high speed performance, tire life up to 500,000 kilometers with the possibility of retreading and increased load capacity.

     The factory has been built by TATNEFT Company with application of international best practices and technologies of SSC tires manufacturing. There are about 800 persons engaged at the factory today with more than half of them being young people.
