Tire Manufacturing Factories of TATNEFT Have Successfully Passed the Compliance Audit

      The tire manufacturing factories of the JSC TATNEFT's petrochemical complex have successfully been audited for compliance with ISO/TS 16949.

      The compliance audit of the quality management systems (QMS) functioning at the JSC "Nizhnekamskshina", LLC "Nizhnekamsk Truck Tires Factory" and LLC "Nizhnekamsk SSC Tire Factory" was performed by experts of the certification center "United Registrar of Systems Ltd." (UK). The auditors assessed the production sites of the factories as well as the activities of the LLC "Tatneft-Neftekhim" Management Company, LLC "TD "Kama", JSC "Nizhnekamsk Mechanical Plant", LLC "Tatneft-Neftekhimsnab", LLC "NTTs" Kama ", which are essential for QMS functioning at the production facilities.

      The URS auditors studied the documentation describing and supporting functioning of the QMS, processes and activities of enterprises, including business planning, customer affairs, design engineering and development of new products, production, storage and sale of tires. The auditors conducted a survey of the employees of the petrochemical complex of the JSC TATNEFT from the senior representatives of the Management Company to the tire factories' workers, which allowed them to assess the components ensuring the yielded products quality. In connection with the decision taken to extend the certification scope special attention was paid to the process of the technological equipment maintenance and operation of the JSC "Nizhnekamsk Mechanical Plant".

      The URS experts highly praised the achievements and improvements that had taken place at the enterprises of the complex since the previous audit, including: increased production and long-term plans for the future, costs reduction for "poor quality", introduction of fundamentally new equipment, interest in Nizhnekamsk tire products displayed by such automakers as Volkswagen, Ford, Renault and Volvo.

      The compliance audit has resulted in receiving certificates confirming compliance with the requirements of the international quality management system standards ISO 9001, ISO/TS 16949 and consumers' standards. The conclusions of the checks, once again have confirmed the operation integrity of the complex enterprises providing for high quality products output and aiming at maximum meeting customers' requirements and achievement of the goals desired.
