Ministry of Transport and Road Construction of the Republic of Tatarstan works in accordance with the clause confirmed by RT Cabinet Decree №317 dated as of 06.07.2005.

Ministry of Transport and Road Construction of the Republic of Tatarstan conducts state policy and carries out public management of transport complex.

Main tasks of the Ministry

• Development and implementation of state transport policy aimed at satisfaction of population demand and state transport needs, reduction of transport expenses, preservation of single transport space in Russia and Tatarstan
• Improvement of transport service availability for population and economic entities
• Counteraction of negative consequences of automobilization affecting road condition, ecology, safety, risk of anthropogenic catastrophes increase, optimization of driving speed
• Formation and coordination of developing modern transport infrastructure and international transport corridors in Tatarstan

Main functions of the Ministry

• Transport complex management
• Management of construction, reconstruction, maintenance and repair of auto roads, bridges and other transport and engineer buildings of regional significance
• Organization of auto, railway, internal water and air transport service
